Claire Pettibone (born May 23, 1967) is an American fashion designer based in Los Angeles. She is prominently known for her couture wedding gowns and intimate apparel, lifestyle collection. ''Italian Lakes Wedding''. January 28, 2011.〕 ==Personal life== Claire Pettibone is the only child of artist parents. Her father, Richard Pettibone, was a pioneer in the Appropriation Movement. Her mother, Shirley Pettibone, was a photo-realist painter. She spent her early childhood living in Upstate New York in a nineteenth-century home filled with antiques and surrounded by nature, which remains a source of inspiration for the designer's signature creations. Later moving to Los Angeles, and graduating from Otis College of Art and Design, she met and married Guy Patrick Toley in 1994 and together they launched her collection.
